Thai Chicken Wings with Peanut Sauce Crock-pot Recipe
- Prep time: 25 minutes
- Cook time: 5 - 6 hours on LOW, or 2½ - 3 hours on HIGH

Ingredients
- 12 Chicken Wing Drummettes (about 2 ½ - 3 pounds)
- ¼ cup Water
- 1 tablespoon Lime Juice
- ¼ teaspoon ground Ginger
- Peanut Sauce (see recipe below)
Cooking Directions
- Place chicken wings in the crock pot along with the water, ginger and lime juice.
- Cover slow cooker and cook on LOW for 5 - 6 hours, or on HIGH 2 ½ - 3 hours.
- Drain chicken wings and prepare peanut sauce.
- Return wings to slow cooker with half of the peanut sauce. Stir to coat well.
- Serve warm with the remaining sauce on the side.
Thai Peanut Sauce Recipe
Ingredients
- ½ cup Creamy Peanut Butter
- ½ cup Water
- 2 tablespoons low sodium Soy Sauce
- 2 Garlic cloves, minced
- ½ teaspoon Ground Ginger
- ¼ teaspoon Crushed Red Pepper
Cooking Directions
- Whisk together and stirring constantly, heat all ingredients over medium-low heat in a small sauce pan until mixture is smooth and heated through.

Ingredients
- 16 Chicken Wings, jointed (about 3 pounds)
- 3/4 cup Plum Sauce*
- 1 tablespoon Butter, melted
- 1 teaspoon Chinese Five Spice
- Green Onions, sliced (optional)
(*) - Plum sauce can be found in most supermarkets in the Asian foods section, in food stores that specialize in Asian foods, and is available from many retailers online.
Cooking Directions
- Preheat oven to 375°F.
- Arrange wing pieces in a foil lined baking tray and bake 20 minutes. Drain.
- Combine chicken wings, plum sauce, butter and five-spice in a 3½ or 4 quart slow cooker. Stir to coat well.
- Cover and cook on low for 3 - 4 hours, or on high for 1½ - 2 hours.
- Serve immediately.
